The Family
This is a photo that was sent home to Sweden. The man in the picture is Mary’s younger brother Gustaf who had come to California to stay with his sister and brother-in-law 1901. When I found this photo I thought that the man was the father of the family, John.
From the beginning I knew that John and Mary had four children.

John Edvin, born February 20, 1903
Ellen Olivia, born February 19, 1906
Fred Yngve, born April 10, 1908
In the 1900 U.S. Federal Census I read that they had a boy, Alvin who was born in 1899. The cemetery have the information that he died December 1, 1903.
The 1910 U.S. Federal Census states that Mary had 7 children, and that 4 of them are alive. Lafayette Cemetery has a grave for a Roy E. Johnson who died November 1, 1900. Could this have been a child of theirs?
Agnes was my maternal great grandmother.
