Mary’s first years in USA:
\n<\/strong>Mary went to Akron, Iowa when she arrived\u00a0in America. I suppose she had friends there. November 14, 1895 she started a trip\u00a0to California. During this trip she wrote a diary<\/a> which I now own.<\/p>\n

Married:
\n<\/strong>November 19, 1898 in Oakland, California. You can see the marriage license here<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Life as a widow:<\/strong>
\nAfter John died in 1907, Mary\u00a0gave birth to\u00a0their youngest son Fred. She stayed in California and took care of the family and the farm until 1911, when she went back to Sweden and bought her parents’ farm.<\/p>\n

\nMary died August, 29 1948 in Hova, Sweden<\/p>\n
